Kim was Newcastle’s premiere Jazz man and the voice of the annual Newcastle Jazz Festival. Kim’s driving passion was local Newcastle artists whom he played copious quantities of in his Jazz shows on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Kim brought a light-hearted presenting style to the station that was a big hit with local people. He was a stalwart of outside broadcasts, loving to meet everyone in person who tuned in.

Saturday Night live, a spectacular array of variety and dazzling content, was Kim’s flagship bringing back the days when Radio was king. A truly stand out show that drew a large audience in a time slot traditionally dominated by television!

He will be sadly missed.
